ESMA Montreal IFA project, I was responsible for the concept, modelling, texturing, and lighting.
I chose Li Shizhen for his emblematic role in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), a cornerstone of Chinese culture and philosophy. His post-royal clinic, Dongbi, served dual purposes: treating patients and composing the monumental Bencao Gangmu, in a setting of brick walls, teal tiles, and wooden fixtures, embodying the essence of TCM practice and scholarly pursuit. This historical figure's life and work reflect the integration of medical practice with cultural and philosophical traditions, making him an ideal subject.
